Fourth of July Nail Look 1

Hey Ladies and Jellyspoons

Since it will be the United States’ Independence Day soon, I thought I would try a little nail look inspired by the USA flag.

Here it is:

I used:
Faceshop’s Trendy Nails in BL606
Tony Moly’s GR10 (glittery stars)
Etude House’s xoxo Minnie 1

I searched all the Korean cosmetic brands for glittery stars and couldn’t find it anywhere so I eventually found this one at Tony Moly and I’m so pleased with it.

If you don’t catch enough stars on the first try, I’d suggest using a pair of tweezers. Tilt the bottle to the side and keep trying to catch the stars with your brush then take the tweezers, nip the stars one by one off the brush and place them where you’d like them on your nails. You can’t just keep painting them on with the brush because it will make the nail polish very thick and gooey on the nails and we don’t want that.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this post. I will try another look before the 4th if I have time. My studies are keeping me crazy busy at the moment, so please understand.

Have a great week!

Here it is:

Have a lovely weekend.

Etude House Real vs Fake false claims

Ladies and Jellyspoons

If you’ve considered buying Etude House lipsticks, but you are afraid of counterfeits, please watch this video. The claims of so called fake Etude House lipsticks that you’ll find on the net is absolute rubbish. I have disproved them over and over again.

Also don’t forget to like and subscribe.

Thanks lovelies

A Trick For Concealing Dark Circles

Hi Ladies and Jellyspoons.

Today I’ll be showing a little trick that I recently learnt from a fellow beauty fanatic on Facebook. (Faye Duterte) She went to Mac, looking to find a holy grail concealer that would make dark circles disappear. One of the salespeople at Mac told her to use orange lipstick on the under eye areas and then to dab a concealer lightly on top of that.

Here is what I look like before:

I suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome so I always have dark circles, regardless of my healthy sleeping patterns.

Here is a what I look like after the seemingly crazy beauty regime. I mean orange lipstick under the eyes…

It works!!! I used Mac Sounds Like Noise and Mac Studio Sculpt Concealer in NW20:

I hope you find this helpful. It’s a lifesaver for me!

Have a great week!

Some facts about me.

1. I love purple very much and no it does not indicate anything about me other than taste.

2. I’m obsessed with Jane Austen. Novels, miniseries, movies or anything remotely Jane Austen related. I quote her more than my hubby prefers and I’m strongly considering becoming a literature major, because I love her novels that much.

3. God couldn’t decide if He should make me a brunette or a blonde, so He made me both. I have very large chunks of blonde in my hair. They don’t look like highlights, because they are too big. In Korea, this freaks out every single hair dresser to the point of refusing to dye my hair because it’s too difficult, so my weird natural colour hash up is permanent, because I can’t get someone to colour it for me.

4. I’m Afrikaans, South African but I went to English academies so I’m technically bilingual.

5. I speak 4 languages and I’m learning French. I also know phrases in Korean and Marshallese from living abroad and I understand Dutch fluently and way more German than I thought possible.

6. I have a very unique eye colour. It’s blue, but it’s not the average blue. Everyone tells me this wherever I go. Even my optometrist back home…

7. I wear very thick glasses when I’m not wearing contacts and my #1 dream is to have lasek done.

Please check out these blogs below (if you haven’t already!) they are amazing!

There you are lovelies. I chose the header with cosmos flowers because I love cosmos flowers. Growing up in Africa, this is something that’ll always be in my childhood memories. Stopping on a family road trip to pick cosmos. And here in Korea they are in abundance ins spring. I even picked some yellow ones along with some white daisies only yesterday.

Have a blessed week!
