The Mermaid Makeup Brush Trend

Hello Everyone

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA. It’s been a bit of a rough start of the year for me and I can finally say I’ve got it together after all the drama.

I’ve been eyeing the makeup circles on Instagram and something that has become a big trend among Western and Eastern brands is the new mermaid makeup brush madness.

Here is a post about Too Faced

I was able to get two chunky blush/ highlighter brushes from a Korean brand called Glökolor. They did  2 special edition deals where you buy a primer and get a brush with it for free. I’m not going to lie: I bought them both for the brushes and have hardly touched the primers since.

This is what they look like:

Recently a friend of mine came home with two brushes from The Faceshop, another famous Korean brand. I was all for it, of course, but I couldn’t find them at the counter in Homeplus, and the ladies there looked at me like I was crazy when I asked them about it. Luckily I was able to get them from their stand alone store, but I am quite surprised that Faceshop has a whole is so low key about it on social media. I wouldn’t have known about them had my friend not introduced me.

What is your take on mermaid makeup brushes. Are the ones sold by different stores of a lesser or higher quality or are they exactly the same?  I will also write extensive reviews of each of the mermaid brushes I own as soon as I get to play with them.

That’s it from me.

Till next time

Amanda
