Support Red My Lips with Etude House

red-my-lips-2-mediumHello Ladies and Jellyspoons
It’s that time of year again. Some of you may know about Red My Lips. For those of you who don’t: Red My Lips is a non profit organisation creating awareness and collecting funds for sexual abuse victims. They have a campaign every year where supporters pledge to wear red lipstick throughout the month of April to create awareness about this terrible problem on society.

I’m going to be showing you brand by brand how you, from the options is have in my collection, could possibly go about supporting this cause, if you were interested.

A lot of you probably know by now that I have a longstanding love affair with Etude House, a Korean makeup brand with great quality cosmetics at drug store prices, packaged in the cutest most beautiful way imaginable. Today I will be showing some of the red lispticks I have from them, to give you an idea of what you could wear throughout the month of Apr in support of Red My Lips.

Red My Lips 2016

Ladies and Gentlemen

Usually my blogs aren’t sad and deep, but this time it is. If you haven’t heard of Red My Lips yet, then I’ll briefly explain it here. RML is a campaign that started in 2012. It’s a non profit organization. During the month of April, individuals all around the works pledge to wear red lipstick every single day of the month to raise awareness about sexual assault and any forms of sexual abuse. This doesn’t exclude the male gender, as many may know, and many men have pledged to wear red lipstick right along with their sisters and girlfriends.
Today’s blog is going to be an inspiration (let’s hope) for those who are interested in the cause. Here are a few options that I have in my collection to help make the cause fun and interesting:

I hope many of you will be joining me this month.

Etude House Dear My Wish Lips Talk Entire Collection Review

Hi Ladies and Jellybabies

I recently did a review on 5 of these lovely lipsticks, but in the mean time I have been able to pick up the other 5 and that makes it possible for me to review the entire collection.

This is collection of creamy, moisturizing and pigmented lipsticks in both opaque and vivid colours. They are of a good quality and like every other Etude House lipstick, smells nice and comes in the cutest packaging.

Here is the comparison between Dear My Blooming Lips Talk and Dear My Wish Lips Talk:

Here they are: (the pinks)
PK 001:

The oranges:

The Reds:

The Beiges:

And lastly BE102:

I wanted to buy the entire set, not only for my blogs but because I know I’d wear these on a day to day basis. All of the colours would look great on most people. I think I’d definitely pull it off to wear them all on my porcelain white skin, and that’s a rare case. I can’t say enough good things about these.

They retail for ₩9500 (the rough equivalent of $9,50.) I get them for ₩6,800 because I have VIP status on my club card. It does pay off to shop there often.

Have lovely week all

Étude House Dear My Wish Lips talk

Ladies and Gentlebeasts.

I’ve already done a review on one of these, but I have recently picked up a set of 4 for $24 at duty free in Incheon. Such a steal.

Here’s the little box I got them in. They had a small bottle of makeup remover in the place of the 5th lipstick:

If you’ve read any of my blogs or if you’re familiar with Etude House, you’ll know that they are a Korean cosmetic company that puts so much detail into their packaging, making absolutely everything girly and princessy.

This is a permanent collection of lipsticks that are designed to be moisturizing and long lasting at the same time.

So far there are only 10 lipsticks but knowing Etude House, they are sure to expand it in the future.

Here’s what the packaging looks like compared to Dear My Blooming Lips:

The first one I got is RD 302. (Provocative Runway Burgundy)
I just couldn’t resist the vampy colour of this one:

It looks black in the tube, but it’s more of a deep burgundy on the lips:

The next one is OR 301(Hidden Coral Innocent Instinct)

It’s a milky peach colour and it’s very similar to one that I have from the Dear My Blooming Lips Talk collection.

And here is OR 203:

This one is a brighter creamy coral colour. (Assonance alert)

The next one is PK 001:

It’s the perfect Barbie or bubblegum pink.

And the last one is PK 003:

This one is a Cerise pink. It’s just the perfect bright rosy pink.

All of these apply really smooth and seem very moisturizing. They all have that famous Etude House smell. The pink and red ones smell like rose Turkish delights and the orange ones smell like orange.

They retail for ₩9500 a piece. (That’s roughly $9,50 and they are not causing me any allergies. I am very sensitive to cheap lipstick chemicals. Etude house also has sales very frequently. If you are on their point card system and you’ve achieved VIP status, you’ll her a even greater discount on every sale.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this post. I plan to get the rest of this collection before valentine’s, so keep your eyes peeled for the round up review.

Au revoir

Etude House Dear My Wish Lips Talk RD 302

Ladies and Jellyspoons

I have been dying to get my hands on one of these lipsticks for the longest time, but it’s one of those times when you realise you have to cut down on buying making and I just couldn’t justify buying yet another lipstick… until I saw the colour of this one. 👌😍 I saw the vampy, deep berry colour of this lipstick and I couldn’t resist. It is the one on the very right of this picture and it’s the darkest colour in the range.

Here it is:

Etude House is famous for rocking out on cute packaging. Yes, they did it again! The packaging is similar to the Dear My Blooming Lips Talk, buts it’s longer. These lipsticks look the same because they will also be part of their permanent collection. The tube is pink with a detachable metallic ribbon ring.

Here is Dear My Blooming Lips Talk on the left and Dear My Wish Lips Talk on the right.

The colour is translated as “Provocative Runway Burgundy” which totally makes sense. There’s usually a fair amount of Konglish in the names, but not with this particular one.

Here’s the lip swatch:rd2

The Dear My Blooming Lips Talk range as a variety if mattes and creamy lipsticks, though I believe this range (Dear My Wish Lips Talk) is supposed to be more creamy and moisturizing, and it certainly is. I can’t vouch for the longevity of it just yet, since I’ve just applied it for the sake of the blog, though I’m planning on updating the blog ASAP for you guys and girls.

And finally, my new favourite lipstick:

Yes, I cut my hair 🙂 I’ll do a full explanatory blog on that first thing tomorrow. Ps sorry for the zombie eyes. This was a post nap blog.

Lots of love and best wishes.
